 | One of the more... interesting characters in the storyline is Sabuyama-sensei (-sensei is a suffix used to indicate a teacher). He is the homosexual teacher at Komatane high school, and is not shy about it (this type of thing is more accepted in Japan, from what I've heard). Although that fact is rather obvious, it's never said outright in the manga. He's "A friend to all the bright young males", and his favorite boy is Futaba. He treats girls with a certain amount of disdain. One of the more comical characters in the series, his overdramatazations are very, very funny (ex: a fantasy he had about Futaba running into his arms at the beach). His name is derived (I'm guessing) from the gay magazine Sabu in Japan (liner notes are a beautiful thing).
